Find Targeted Blogs for Comment Backlinks

Thursday 22 May 2008 @ 3:23 pm

So yes, many people will say that posting a comment on a blog solely for the purpose of a backlink is unethical. I’m not going to completely disagree with that, but it can be a good way to build up some links for your site, and it can really help with page rank if you can find some high ranking blogs. As long as your conscience allows it, read on!

It’s not to tough to find lists online of dofollow blogs, but the problem with these is that its tough to find blogs with content that is similar to the site you are trying to promote. You don’t want to be sifting through these long tedious lists, hoping to find something that might be related to your site. A backlink from a site with similar content is much more valuable then just trying to spam your links onto any random blog.

The search query below will help you to find blogs with commenting available with whatever keywords and phrases you want. Just replace <Target Keywords> with some of your keywords from your blog and see what you can find. Start with the first results, as they will generally be higher ranked and more popular pages, and those are they types of backlinks that you want.

Here is the search query:
<TARGET KEYWORDS> “Remember my personal information” “Notify me of follow-up comments”

Don’t forget to view the source of the page to make sure that the blog isn’t using “nofollow” links for comments. And please make sure to try to post a somewhat reasonable and intelligent comment. Comment spam sucks, and if the blog is moderated there is a good chance that your lame excuse for a comment won’t get added, especially on a dofollow blog.

Good Luck!
